New Moon Manifesting

New Moon Manifesting

Many people today have heard about or practiced the principles of the Law of Attraction and understand the concept that “thoughts become things”. Maybe you have put your intentions out to the universe and have experienced some miraculous stuff. But sometimes, we can put a lot of work into manifesting only to find that nothing happens. Why is that? Am I doing something wrong?

Maybe, maybe not! There can be many reasons why things are not manifesting. Maybe your intentions were “not for the good of all concerned” or “you just didn’t really feel it” or maybe it had something to do with “divine timing”.

This article is about the latter. What if you had a jump on divine timing and knew in advance just the right time to shoot off your intentions to the universe when they had the best likelihood of coming to fruition, I call it “New Moon Manifesting” and it is like Law of Attraction on steroids

I recently attended a workshop with Yasmin Boland, author of the book “Moonology”, and I was blown away by what I learned and amazed at how potent my intentions became. The material here is based on her fabulous book.

What Exactly is the New Moon?

The New Moon is a time when there is 0% illumination on the moon and this occurs when the Sun and Moon are aligned, with the Sun and Earth on opposite sides of the Moon. So basically, you look up on a clear night and see only darkness and stars.

There are several reasons why we can’t see the New Moon in the night sky.

1) The alignment of the Sun, the Moon, and Earth, leaves the side of the Moon that faces Earth in complete darkness.

2) The New Moon rises and sets around the same time as the Sun, bringing it too close to the Sun’s glare to be seen with the naked eye.

Higher Tides at New Moon

The greatest difference between high and low tide is around New Moon and Full Moon. During these Moon phases, the gravitational forces of the Moon and the Sun combine to pull the ocean’s water in the same direction. These tides are known as spring tides or king tides. Scientists say that our bodies are made up of 65% water and the brain and heart (the organs that control our thoughts and emotions) are composed of 73% water so it is no wonder that the phase of the moon can have an effect on us and the energy around us.

The power of the new moon is used to manifest new beginnings. You ask for things to replace the old out of date stuff that you asked to be removed from your life at the full moon. More about that in a later blog.

How to do New Moon Manifesting

Harnessing the power of the moon has two components and is based on your rising or ascendant sign in astrology. Your rising sign is the sign that was rising over the eastern horizon at the time you were born. The rising sign changes every two hours, so you need to know your time of birth to get an accurate answer as to what it is.

Most people know their sun sign, which is associated with the day you were born. But for our purpose of moon manifesting, your ascendant is more accurate because it narrows it down to a two hour period on the day your were born. If you don’t know your rising sign, go to www.alabe.com and enter your information and they will tell you your rising sign for free. If you don’t know the time of your birth, just use you sun sign.

1. Get the date for the next new moon and figure out what sign it will be in. You can go to Yasmin Boland’s site moonology.com to find out. The next new moon in the New York metro area is Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 8:28 pm and it is a New Moon in Capricorn. Capricorn is an industrious and ambitious sign and it is all about planning for the future, setting up routines and goals, setting priorities and working on your career. So, now we know that this new moon looks good for career and future goals, plans and stability. So far so good!

2. Next, using your ascendant, find out what astrological house the new moon will be in for you. For this example I am using someone whose ascendant is Sagittarius. If you look at the chart below, you will see the ascendant starts on the left side just below the center at the first house and the rest of the signs continue in sequence counterclockwise. We see that Capricorn is in the 2nd house which rules, Money, work, income, daily routines, values, material possessions, priorities, habits, your job, and work ethic. WOW, so that tells us this a great time to put out some intentions that have to do with money, material possessions and career. Want a raise or a new job? Want to sell your house? Want more money? This a perfect time to manifest all that, but maybe not the greatest time to manifest a new romance. Maybe wait until you have a new moon in Aries and have the 5thhouse working for you! See how it works?

3. Then write down (I like to hand write them on paper as it is more personal) your intentions. You can transfer them to a computer file after to keep as a reference. Choose about 5 -10 things you would like to see manifest in the coming month and try to pick ones that are aligned with the new moon astrological sign and the house it is in. Of course you can pick anything but using the new moon energy helps make them more potent. When you are done, read them aloud and really feel the positive emotions that are attached to your receiving these gifts. See it, feel it, live it! It feels good, yes?

4. Conduct a new moon ritual by yourself or invite friends to join in. Do it just after the new moon but within the next 24 hours. There is added power in combined manifesting!!! You are going to burn the intention paper either in a fireplace or perhaps outside in a clay flowerpot (that is how I do it) after reciting them out loud and feeling the positive emotions. However safety comes first, so do not burn it any place that could start a fire and have a spray bottle of water on hand just in case. If burning is not an option, just fold up the paper and put it in a special place.

5. Just before the burning part, say the words, “this or something better is manifesting for me now, in the perfect way, at the perfect time, for the good of all concerned”. Then, thank the universe for receiving your intentions and you are done. Just sit back and let the universe work it’s magic.

I have been doing this for the last several months along with several of my friends and it has been amazing! We have manifested romance, family unity, the sale of a house and much more after months or years of nothing happening.

Special added Bonus –
Black New Moon – July 31, 2019

While most years have 12 New Moons (1 per month), occasionally a year has 13 new moons due to the fact that our calendar does not match up perfectly with certain astronomical events. When this happens, at least 1 of those new moons is called a “Black Moon” (the second new moon appearing in a calendar month).

In 2019, there will be 13 New Moons, two in July and one in each of the other eleven months. That means we will be having a “Black Moon” on July 31th  at 3:12 AM. In certain cultures, Black Moons can hold special significance to those who believe their intentions become more potent when set on the night of a Black Moon.

So moon manifesting fans, don’t miss this opportunity to give your intentions an extra boost this summer with the Black Moon.

Yasmin Boland, you are amazing and I encourage all of you to get her book “Moonology” for more info and if you have a chance to take one of her workshops, you should certainly do so.

Looking forward to hearing comments from all the New Moon Manifesters out there about what you were able to accomplish with this method.

Wishing You Joy and Abundance,
